Nickname: ZEBBA used to be ZEBBIE, still used by people I know from back in ‘the day’
PBs: Reset every decade, the only one I track now is Parkrun at 22:08 in the recent era
Workplace: Belgravia Leisure & Lifesaving Victoria.

Best Running Experience: All of them, fast, slow, short, long, run hard, run easy. Most memorable probably the 10k in Pyongyang, North Korea in 2019.

Why Do You Run: I will leave this to Roger Bannister to explain “We run not because we think it is doing us good, but because we enjoy it and cannot help ourselves…The more restricted our society and work become, the more necessary it will be to find some outlet for this craving for freedom. No one can say, ‘You must not run faster than this, or jump higher than that’. The human spirit is indomitable”

Other hobbies: Bike riding, no racing – strictly for pleasure

Favourite Movies/TV: The Damned United (movie), Big Bang In Pyongyang (doco), Alice In Borderland (Netflix), Survivor (CBS,TV)

Favourite Books: I have read all the Jack Reacher books (Lee Child), everything Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, Dean Koontz, Katherine Slaughter, and all the John Grisham books, currently reading Gerald Seymour books

Favourite Music: Alan Parsons Project

Favourite Drink: Beer and cappuccino (not necessarily in that order)

Favourite Quote: The only certainty is uncertainty (Pliny The Elder)

Favourite Holiday Destination: Singapore twice a year

Little known facts: Served 12 years in Royal Australian Navy (Electrical Technical Systems). Placed in induced coma post car accident as a teenager which has given me some brain issues and the requirement for lifelong meds, not to worry as I can still place one foot in front of the other.
