I'll be running 26-28km at the farm on Sunday - company most welcome. If anyone wants to join me I have a simple BBQ afterwards. Travel time is around 90 mins from the CBD. I know this clashes with Puffing Billy, but I'll be running at Neerim regardless. Reply here if interested.... Smurf ... See MoreSee Less

For those that didn't get enough of the hills at today's awesome Airlie street session and especially those that are running Puffing Billy or AV Cross Country, I am planning to run an undulating hills threshold session on the Yarra Boulevard in Kew on Tuesday morning (Anzac day) next week.
All are welcome for this testing session that we ran end of last year before the 2 Bays Trail Race. It is an out and back course over rolling hills & you can vary the distance between 8ks and 12ks depending on your pace and effort.
Fitter, Obama, LG, Katie and others can vouch that this session really tells you where your fitness is at and I think that Luke Goodman in particular really enjoyed the outing!
Park on Yarra Boulevard just up from the junction with Chandler Highway. Easy access just off the Eastern Freeway.
We will head off at 8am for at 2 to 3 km warm-up before getting into the session followed by a short warm down afterwards.

Some more London Mara fun fast facts ...
🏃‍♀️Record numbers are expected to run in this year's event - 40,000 plus
🏃‍♀️to accommodate this number of participants in the city the race actually starts in 3 separate locations which merge early in the course
🏃‍♀️I've alluded to the important emphasis on charity in the event; Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are ambassadors and have pledged to make the 2017 race 'the mental health marathon'
🏃‍♀️although Virgin now sponsor Flora used to be the main event Sponsor ..in 1997 when I first completed it I was eligible for a rather special edition cool Flora London marathon credit card which had a picture of the runners traversing tower bridge
🏃‍♀️Tower Bridge at the half way point and the finish straight past Buckingham palace are definitely the course highlights ... the docklands in the second half is devoid of spectators and you need to dig deep then deeper still upon reaching the dreaded cobblestones at the 21 mile mark
🏃‍♀️this year's celebrity runners to watch include 4 time iron man world champ Christie Wellington, rowing teammates Stan and Glover and 3 members of the band Scouting for girls
Go Bermuda !!!!
